To be able to understand the present, we must look at the past. It all started in the middle of the 19th century when a Pollensan fisherman, Bartomeu, decided to build a small shelter for his boat on some land which had been given to him, and slowly but surely he continued building until deciding to establish his home on the very same land. It was that decision which gave life to what today we know as Port of Pollensa. The high pine trees, the walk which people stroll on for hours on end, each of its restaurants, cafés and ice-cream parlours…For sure Bartolome wouldn’t have been able to imagine that such a small decision would lead to so much, and even today his inheritors make sure that the first house in Port of Pollensa preserves its’ spirit and structure, to remind everyone of how it all started.
